Early Career
Amy Ryan (born Amy Beth Dziewiontkowski) was born on May 3, 1968, in Queens to a nurse and a trucking business owner. As a child, she and her sister delivered Daily News newspapers on bicycles. At a young age, Ryan attended the Stagedoor Manor performing arts training center in Loch Sheldrake, New York. By the age of 17, she graduated from the High School of Performing Arts in New York City. After completing her education, she began participating in various theatrical productions. Starting in 1993, Ryan frequently appeared on Broadway and in television roles.
